Blushing Rose is having a lovely one-year anniversary giveaway. It ends on St. Patrick's Day, so you still have time to enter! I'm recuperating from yesterday, so I think I'm going to take a nap (and hope I don't get called to go back in to work)!

It sounds like you had an emotional shift. I don't know if I could handle that very well. Maybe with experience you will find ways to cope when you lose a patient. I am glad to know there are caring people like you to care for us all when we are sick or injured! Have a relaxing Sunday if you can~
Cris, thanks for stopping by! Maybe, but I've been a nurse for ten years and a nursing assistant for seven years before that, and it hasn't ever gotten easier. I think it may be more difficult now that I'm in anesthesia because we have so many lifesaving tools at our disposal! But I'm always stricken and sad for awhile after a loss - thank goodness it happens less often in the operating room than on a critical care ward!
I hope you are getting some rest and you don't have to go back into work. Sorry to hear about your little patient. I don't imagine that is ever easy to witness.
