This post doesn't really have a topic - I'm just writing random thoughts. I hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving! We had a good meal but when we sat down to eat I realized I had forgotten to make mashed potatoes! Who forgets the mashed potatoes? But I did. There was plenty of food, and we had stuffing and sweet potatoes, but how on earth did I forget mashed potatoes?
The weather here is really weird sometimes. Last week it was icy and bitter and we had to bundle up in sweaters and such even in the house, and this week it is as calm and balmy as spring. Which stinks, because I can't enjoy the weather today - I have overnight call tonight so I have to go get some sleep. :(
Did anyone find any good Black Friday deals? We didn't go shopping. First, we're doing mostly handmade stuff this year, and second, I hate dealing with crowds. Third, I have to be up all night tonight so I wanted to sleep in, and then take a midmorning nap. I did look at the Amazon website but there wasn't anything I couldn't live without.
Okay, I'm off to take a nap (yes, it's a hard life!) - have a great day, everyone, no matter how you choose to spend it!

Good Morning Terri, I'm not an after Thanksgiving shopper either - just don't like crowds or traffic! Hope you get lots of rest today. What type of handmade gifts do you exchange?
No shopping for this girl either! Right now my hubbie has gone to his parents home to watch football so it is quite in the house. I'm not sure if I like this or it saddens me. Anyway what better time than now for blogging! That always makes me happy!
Hi, Mildred - thanks for stopping in! We're making a hodgepodge of things this year, I think - I'll try to remember to post pics as I finish an item!
Terri
Susie, I havemixed feelings about a quiet house, too - hope this gives you lots of time to get caught up!

no way, terri. no black friday shopping for me. :)
i have to laugh about the mashd potatoes. its a standing joke at my mom's that she always forgets to put something on the table. we have gone completely through dessert and someone will be in the bottom of the fridge and there will be the devilled eggs or the salad will be in the refrig in the garage..... one year the dinner rools were still in their bags in the utility room. its kinda like hide & seek for the food. :)
anyways, glad to hear you had a good time. on call?? well, i hope it is a good night. :)
Kim, your mom sounds just like me! :) This is what Melissa has to put up with all the time! Have a great weekend!

Terri - I'm mailing out Christmas cards next week and wanted to send one to you if you would email me and send along your address.
I ran to the store to get rat traps! Imagine that! I'm wishing I would have gotten some chocolate!
HA! If you had sweet potatoes and stuffing you didn't need mashed potatoes too. I have a big bowlful of them leftover here, if you still want some. I'll share with you! ;)
I was working on Black Friday so no shopping for me either. Probably just as well, I don't like fighting those crowds.
